Hat Model #3

Her paintings have been seen at almost every local art venue and her exhibition awards are numerous. A mural she created, "Art of the Dance", can be seen in downtown Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and, as one of five artists selected for Adams Outdoor Advertising's ArtPop Exhibition, a larger-than-life copy of her oil painting "Man's Best Friend" was seen on billboards throughout the Pocono region in 2016.

Red Painting

Jill has taught art at Pennsylvania's Northampton Community College and at the Pocono Arts Council. Currently she is teaching weekly oil painting classes at the Dunmore Senior Center in Dunmore, Pennsylvania.

This exhibition highlights her "Hat Series", a project Jill has worked on passionately for the past year and which has not yet been exhibited publically. And MOST IMPORTANT! Jill asks that everyone attending the opening reception WEAR A HAT!

Looking Back At You

JACK SWERSIE

Jack Swersie is a retired entertainer, having performed a comedy show for 35 years (www.jackswersie.com). After retiring in 2015, he found himself in need of a creative outlet and in 2016 bought a camera.

At first he thought he'd focus on street photography but soon found himself going in a completely different direction. Now he enjoys creating scenes using toys from his antique toy collection or miniature figures like game pawns from board games.
In many cases, he photographs the shadows of these scenes and has created quite a portfolio. The response to his "shadow series" has been overwhelmingly positive.

Much of his work is simply pleasing to the eye and some is humorous. Frequently his photos make a statement. Every so often he gets political but he keeps that to a minimum.
Six months into his new love, Jack has won three awards in three different local art shows and made severals. He is very encouraged and even more inspired to continue. And so, he will!
